ABOU ALI RIVER SCHEME IN TRIPOLI

This project consists in channelizing the stretch of Abou Ali river passing through the city of Tripoli.
The main works are :
- A control embankment dam. Height 20m; crest length 90m with an opening for the canal inlet 18.40m wide.
- Canal designed for a discharged of 1500 m3/s with two boulevards 25m wide each, running along its borders.
- Two intake waterworks provided just at the start of the canal designed for deliveries of 8m3/s and 5m3/s.
- Special structure for canal outlet into the sea.
- Reconstitution of Tripoli gardens irrigation channels and connection of the network with the intake waterworks.
- Reconstitution of Tripoli sewage disposal system dismantled by the project.
