The works are composed of :
- A control dam. Height 20m crest width 90m provided with an opening for outflow canal.
- Reinforced concrete canal : length 3.1 Km width height varying between 4m and 6m and a width varying between 24m and 32m. The canal is provided for a discharge of 1500 cu.m./sec.
- Special structure for canal outlet into the sea.
- Two boulevards skirt the canal (width of each is 23m), equipped with a sewage and a drainage networks.
- Several reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete bridges cross the canal (number = 6).
