Upgrading by equipping the intersections with overpasses and underpasses.
HAZMIEH : Equipped with a prestressed concrete overpass crossing the Damascus road (span 25.5m).
MKALLES : Upgraded with two underpasses :
1st Underpass : length 109m, width 18.7m
2nd Underpass : length 116m, width 9.40m
and one overpass : continuous prestressed concrete curved bridge R = 300m, 4 span, total length of deck 147m.
HAYEK-SALOME : The upgrading foresees a viaduct between the two intersections. Continuously supported prestressed concrete structure span varying from 31m to 36m, pact of which is curved R = 110m, variable width, caisson section, total length of deck 620m (approximately) area of deck 11,500 sq.m. (approximately).
NAHR EL-MOTT : Equipped with two viaducts connecting the Northern highway to Dora boulevard and Sin El-Fil boulevard. Continuously supported prestressed concrete structures spans varying between 37m and 41m, part of which is curved, variable width, caisson section, length of deck is 600m (approximately) area of deck is 18,500 sq.m. (approximately).
